The most important goal achieved by Queen® Genetics is the creation of ethylene tolerant plants. Since the gas - ethylene - is responsible for wilting of flowers this has been the key goal, and when successful, a major step forward for the breeders.

Queen celebrates 10,000+ followers

As a grower, you can create the most beautiful flowers, but if the end consumer does not have the information and inspiration of how to use the flowers, your products will never become a success. That's why the Danish breeder Knud Jepsen a/s created an Instagram account for their Queen branded kalanchoes in 2014. They feed the consumers with inspiration, news, information and answer their questions every day. Now, they reached a milestone as they have over 10,000 followers.
Turkish joint venture Queen Tarim expands in size

Looking to outsource the cutting production ended up in investing in a Turkish joint venture. The company in question is Danish Kalanchoe nursery Knud Jepsen a/s (Queen Genetics). After exploring the possibilities in Turkey, they saw the opportunity to take advantage of the country's developing local pot plant market and decided to establish a joint venture with their Turkish partner Agrico.
